"The Function of freedom is to free someone else"
Grateful for my big fat Greek family ...haha actually we are not SUCH a big family, but together we tend to SounD like a big fat Greek family, because we can be loud ;-)
I feel SO grateful, and blessed to have been brought up in this passionate, warm, loud, affectionate family. We are connected to old cultural roots, with stories gallor. Ive spent the most time in Syros where I still have childhood friends to share in memories. My aunt and uncle share a cottage there, and my aunt's family is from Syros. One of my favourite old Greek songs sings about a woman from Syros.
My favourite island besides Syros is Crete. My maternal grandmother/yaya was Cretan as was her father/baba. I have green eyes as a Cretan might. It is the biggest island, with amazing food, culture, night life, and archaeological opportunities to explore including the Minoan civilization.
Besides Greece, my favourite place I have spent a short time for now, is Big Island Hawaii. I was lucky enough to see half the island in a porch, and the other half hitchhiking with my friend.
Its consciousness, divine landscape and spiritual chill vibration has completely taken me in, so much so I got a tattoo to bring "Hawii with me".
Hawaii reminds me that everything happens for a reason. My dream is to spend at least half the year there, as I also LOVE its overall sunny, warm weather.
My free spirit has landed me in numerous places; 17 places in the last 17yrs.
Originally I mainly grew up in Kitchener, Ontario. Between 3-5yrs we lived in Boston, Massachusetts USA, where my dad worked as a software engineer. I attended a Montessori school in Boston; an amazing opportunity for self development!
I first moved out of the family home at 18yrs old, and lived with my bff in Toronto.
Montreal, QC was home 2007-2011. My BA was completed at Concordia University with a minor in theater and major in anthropology (almost a double minor in women's studies-the Simon de Beauvoir institute is incredible for learning truly amazing information).
I found Montreal, QC to be of the most liberal places in Canada. I always miss the amazing laissez faire attitude. It was truly an artists playground, that I often feel nostalgic over.
I Spent 2013-2016 with my x on Vancouver island. He was from the Berkeley, CA. We met In Vancouver while I was looking for a home. I loved his sillyness, and outgoing personality (at times). I thought I would end up with him in the Bay area, but as the saying goes (I am not religious and very infrequently refer to the divine as God) but the saying goes: "if you want to make God laugh, tell him of your plans."
We spent 8months in Victoria and 2yrs in Courtenay, BC, prior to this about a year in Vancouver, BC together. This past common law relationship fed my soul for a blimp of time, with its ManY ups and downs, and left us both with lessons, and love from this time and space.
Vancouver is my home now again, for the third time. Third time is a charm right??!?
2004-2006, 2nd 2011-2013, now since late Oct/2016-present.
The mountains, and ocean have pulled me back...its where in Canada I feel closest to the goddess.
Along with friends; old and new, my cousin, the holistic/healing arts, and the performing arts; I feel I have everything I need here. I resist the grey dull winters, and find this city to have some unfriendly folk, BUT some deeply amazing, beautiful soul sistas and brothers living here that havce nourished my heart. On this path we exchange strengths and struggles day in day out. Our dreams unfold and we manifest them; reaching for what is possible and impossible because our free spirits guide us from the inner wisdom we gathered along the way.
"Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose"
Teachers told my mom as a preschool kid "she is like an artist".
I corrected them saying: "I am an artist!" I have had "training" in numerous mediums to hone "technique" with painting, dancing, singing, writing, photography, acting, and mystical divine healing arts tools. I spent the most time concentrated on dance; jazz, ballet, hip hop, modern, and salsa (mainly New York/Puerto Rican), as well as acting. I spent yrs taking acting classes which is why I originally moved to Vancouver to attend VADA, after having completed half the triple threat program at Randloph Academy of Performing Arts in Toronto, Ont.
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely place. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it". Roald Dahl
Holistically after having experienced a miscarriage in my late teens; I began practicing yoga, which literally saved my life! Yoga gave me ground; I felt the earth under my feet, and that connection to breath. Yoga taught me HOW to live from the inside out (as I call it). I learned how to FEEL what I felt, what I truly needed from that deep inner wisdom and from this place to learn to take actions and reactions to the world around me. I still react and practice being positive, but for sure I am more aware as I continue to meditate daily and practice yoga. A certified yoga teacher (200hrs level I) by OpenDoor Yoga since 2005, and sine 2014 certified to teach kids yoga with rainbow kids yoga. As a yoga teacher I have been fortunate to teach kids, special needs, beginner and corporate classes on n off since 2006. Along with yoga, doing treatments allows me to help others by offering holistically balancing tools via: thalassotherapy, aromatherapy, relaxation massage, energy work and reflexology. I attended in 2012 VSBM where I became a certified spa therapist/body worker. Prior to this full time program in 2008, after a few exams, and having completed 65 case studies I became a certified reflexologist.
"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
The Bhagavad Gita
To heal oneself first, and therefore able to offer healing to others, but also as we heal others we heal a part of ourselves. Most often I practice moving people's energy and aiding people with balancing themselves holistically via treatments and yoga. I do the best to be consistently go to treatments and attend yoga classes myself, along with as mentioned meditate daily- to replenish, ground and renew my own energy. Rest is key in restoring chi/prana and therefore connect deeply to OM
I am currently studying to be an RHN online (more than half way done). A sustainable form of healing, because choosing the foods we eat, from where they are from, from which seeds and how they are grown directly affects the sustainability of our human mind, body, spirit and this planet.
Some of the people who have influenced me to love the power of food as medicine are Todd Caldecott, Dr.Brownstein, Dr.Amy Myers, Julie Daniluk, Food Babe, Wellness Mama, Dr.Joseph Mercola, and Dr.Terry Wahls. Locally I love SPUDS, Choices Markets, Glory Juice, The Juicery, Amai Vegan Treats and OrganicFair #organic #non-gmo #sustainable
The world of nutrition and functional medicine continues to inspire me as an ultimate form of healing for the body and the earth (organic farming practices replenish the earth-sustainable).

Luv child; to love despite pain, mistakes, imperfections, obstacles, patterns, disconnections and unknowns. The Courage to love with our whole hearts, and to own our own stories. Compassion to find forgiveness for ourselves and others; especially when our best isn't or wasn't good enough.
Boundaries give security in the vastness of emotions that unfold because of love. Service is love.
Laughter is love, love is patient, and love is kind. Love is honest. Love communicates.
