"The Function of freedom is to free someone else"
Grateful for my big fat Greek family ...haha actually they are not SUCH a big family, but together we tend to sound like a big family might ;-) I feel blessed to have been brought up with this passionate, warm, loud, affectionate family that is connected to old cultural roots. My favourite island in Greece is Crete, as it is where my maternal grandmther/yaya was from. I have green eyes as a Cretan might. It is the biggest island, with amazing food, culture, night life, and archeological opportunities to explore including the Minoan civilization.
My favourite place besides Greece (which I spent many gratefully whole summers growing up) is big island Hawaii. Its consciousness, divine landscape and spiritual chill vibration has completely taken me in, so much so I got a tattoo to bring "Hawii with me". Hawaii reminds me that everything happens for a reason. My dream is to spend half the year there, as I also LOVE the warm weather.
I think in order to be free, there must be support. Support gives you room and space to grow; in my opinion this is the foundation fortrue freedom.
I am eager for my freespirit to explore more directions of the compass: Europe, South East Asia, more of the Americas, more of the Caribbean, and some of Africa too oh yes please!
I pray that the earth, and our consciousness sheds light and love; to give us the freedom and security for the beauty that prevails to remain in tact with freedom to explore every nook and cranny however far and wide.
My free spirit has landed me living in numerous places 17 places in the last 17yrs.
Originally I mainly grew up in Kitchener, Ontario from 5-18yrs/old. I go "home" 1-2x year to connect with family and friends I love dearly.
Between 3-5yrs we lived in Boston, Massachusetts USA, where y dad worked as a software engineer. I attended a montessori school; an amazing opportunity for self development!
I first moved out of the family home at 18yrs old, and lived with my bff in Toronto.
Montreal, QC was home 2007-2011. My BA was completed at Concordia University with a minor in theater and major in anthropology (almost a double minor in women's studies-the Simon de Beauvoir institute there is incredible ground for learning true amazing work). I found Montreal, QC besides the freezing winters to be of the most, warm hearted liberal places in Canada. I always miss the amazing laissez faire attitude. It was truly an artists playground, that I often feel nostalgic over.
I Spent 2013-2016 with my x, a Bay Area, American native who I met In Vancouver on Vancouver island.
We spent 8months in Victoria and 2yrs in Courtenay, BC.
This past common law relationship fed my soul for a blimp of time, with its ManY ups and downs -it ended due to major health issues.
SO much growth, lessons and memories live in these times and space.
Vancouver is my home now again, for the third time. Third time is a charm right??!?
2004-2006, 2nd 2011-2013, now since late Oct/2016-present.
The mountains, and ocean pull me back. Along with friends; old and new, my cousin, the holistic/healing arts, and the performing arts too. I feel most whole here to keep growing in Canada, although the grey winters I find challenging, and I yearn for a friendly more customer service friendly place long term.
With my sweet supportive love and pups I continue to live here doing my best to grow in these faces of arts, holistic health and healing; as a true authentic, imperfectly perfect freespirit might be~
"Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose"
Teachers told my mom as a preschool kid "she is like an artist".
I corrected them saying: "I am an artist!" I have had "training" in numerous mediums to hone "technique" with painting, dancing, singing, writing, photography, acting, and mystical divine healing arts tools. I spent the most concentrated time on falling deeply in love with dance; jazz, ballet, hip hop, modern, and salsa (mainly New York/Puerto Rican), as well as acting. I spent yrs taking dance classes, and yrs of acting classes which is why I originally moved to Vancouver to attend VADA after having completed half the triple threat program at Randloph Academy of Performing Arts in Toronto, Ont.
Overall at this point I'd say I am more of a jack of all trades, master of none ;-)

Holistically after having experienced a miscarriage in my late teens; I began practicing yoga, which literally saved my life! Yoga gave me ground again. I felt the earth under my feet, and that connection to breath. Yoga taught me HOW to live from the inside out (as I call it). What I mean by this is that; instead of worrying about what people think and spending energy in the direction outside yourself; I learned how to FEEL what I felt, what I truly needed from that deep inner wisdom and from this place to learn to take actions and reactions to the world around me. I learned I have a choice in HOW I feel and WHO I choose to be! My deep depression prior to my yoga revelation stemmed from a chemical imbalance due to my hormones being out of whack from the miscarriage, my rave partying and my lack of knowledge of holistic living. Yoga was able to provide me with fundamental tools. Along with yoga, doing treatments allows me the tools to offer holistic balancing via thalassotherapy, aromatherapy, relaxation massage, energy work and reflexology. I attended in 2012 VSBM where I became a certified spa therapist/body worker. Prior to this full time program in 2008, after a few exams, and having completed 65 case studies I became a certified reflexologist.
I still practice yoga and meditation daily. I offer treatments 3x week Thursdays 4-7pm, Fridays and Saturday 11-7pm.
A certified yoga teacher (200hrs level I) by OpenDoor Yoga since 2005, and sine 2014 certified to teach kids yoga with rainbow kids yoga. As a yoga teacher I have been fortunate to teach kids, special needs, beginner and corporate classes on n off since 2006.
"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."
The Bhagavad Gita
To heal oneself first, and therefore able to offer healing to others. I feel like my own healing is inconsistent, there are times where I feel the path of the self and perhaps it reflects the collective path takes many steps backwards and then a few steps forward. A dance of moving back and forth, it is not always constant or straight forward. However there has most certainly been growth. Most often I practice moving people's energy and aiding people with balancing themselves holistically via treatments and yoga. I do the best to go to treatments and yoga classes myself, along with being consistent with meditation to allow my own energy to replenish. Rest is also key in restoring chi/prana and therefore feel the OM vibration.
In 2008 I became certified as a reflexologist, and completed the spa therapy program in 2012 from VSBM.
I am currently studying to be an RHN online (more than half way done). A sustainable form of healing, because choosing the foods we eat, from where they are from, from which seeds and how they are grown directly affects the sustainability of our humanity and this planet.
Some of the people who have influenced me to love the power of food as medicine are Todd Caldecott, Dr.Brownstein, Dr.Amy Myers, Julie Daniluk, Food Babe, Wellness Mama, Dr.Joseph Mercola, and Dr.Terry Wahls. I love in Vancouver SPUDS, Choices Markets, Amai Vegan Treats and OrganicFair products that make it easy and accessible to fall in love with real food! #organic #non-gmo #sustainable
The world of nutrition and functional medicine continues to inspire me as an ultimate form of healing for the body and the earth (organic farming practices replenish the earth-sustainable).
"Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food."
Luv child; to love despite pain, mistakes, imperfections, obstacles, patterns, disconnections and unknowns. The Courage to love with our whole hearts, and to own our own stories. Compassion to find forgiveness for ourselves and others; especially when our best isn't good enough.
Boundaries give security in the vastness of emotions that unfold because of love. Acknowledging the sacredness of love by being accountable for our actions this is true love. Service is love.
Laughter is love, love is patients, love is kind. Love is honest. Love communicates.
To be truly alive, is to have an open heart, of a sweet, honey, Luv child <3
